KEVIN GREEN FROM NORTHUMBERLAND SENTENCED FOR HIDDEN CAMERA CRIME INVOLVING CHILDREN
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Northumberland, Kevin Green, a 60-year-old resident of Prestdale Avenue, Blyth, has been convicted of possessing and capturing indecent images of children through the use of a covertly installed camera.The incident came to light after Green's victim discovered a hidden camera, which she believed had been placed there for at least six months without her knowledge.
This device was used to record footage that was later accessed via an application on Green's iPad, revealing a disturbing collection of images and videos.
When police seized Green's electronic devices for investigation, they uncovered nearly 400 indecent images, including one categorized as Category B and 366 categorized as Category C.
These images included photographs and videos of the victim, who was unwittingly recorded by the concealed camera.
The court heard that Green's actions involved the covert recording of his victim, raising serious concerns about his motives and the impact on the victim's privacy and well-being.
Initially, Green pleaded guilty to two counts of taking indecent images of children but denied two counts of voyeurism.
However, during the proceedings, he changed his plea and admitted to all four charges, acknowledging the full extent of his misconduct.
