May 2004 All kids off limits for pervert CHILD abuse images pervert Kevin Fisher is the first person in Britain to be banned from all contact with any kids — under tough new sex laws. Wheelchair-bound Fisher, 44, faces a jail term if he even approaches a child. He is banned from going within 100 metres of a school or playground, entering a house when a child is there, working with kids or photographing them. Fisher has been issued with the country’s first Sexual Offences Prevention Order — similar to Anti-Social Behaviour Orders. Judge Simon Darwall-Smith issued the open-ended ban at Bristol Crown Court after jailing Fisher for nine months over child porn offences. Breaching an SOPO carries an automatic six-month jail term — but committing an offence while under an order carries a five-year term on top of a sentence. Bachelor Fisher hit the headlines in November 1996 when he pushed his wheelchair from Bristol to London for Children in Need. But he was exposed as a paedophile in February while working as a computer technician at Bristol’s Easy Cafe. Staff called in cops after finding a picture of a ten-year-old girl in a swimsuit on one of the computers. Detectives found 38 indecent images of children on CD-rom disks at his flat. He also had a library of other child-related literature at his Bristol home including children’s catalogues and even books about potty training. Fisher admitted making indecent photographs and possessing indecent images.
