KEVIN DUNKS FROM HORNSEY JAILED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AT SOUTHWARK CROWN COURT
In a case that has shocked the local community of Hornsey and the broader London area, Kevin Dunks, a 27-year-old police officer, was sentenced to five months in prison after admitting to possessing indecent images of children.The incident came to light in August when authorities executed a search warrant at his residence, uncovering a disturbing collection of 15 prohibited images stored on his computer hard drive.
Judge Peter Fingret presided over the case at Southwark Crown Court in London.
During the proceedings, the judge emphasized the severity of the offense, stating that there was no alternative but to impose immediate custody.
Dunks was also informed that he would be registered as a sex offender for a period of seven years, a measure intended to monitor and restrict his activities following his release.
Kevin Dunks, who had been serving as a member of the Metropolitan Police since 1997, was stationed at Holborn CID at the time of his arrest.
