KEVIN CLARKE AND SHOCKING CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LEICESTER AND LINCOLNSHIRE COAST
A man identified as Kevin Clarke has been sentenced to serve six years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious child sex offences.Clarke, aged 38 and residing on Gresley Close in Leicester, appeared at Leicester Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to a total of nine criminal charges related to his illicit activities.
The offences for which Clarke was held accountable include causing or inciting a minor to engage in sexual activities, as well as engaging in sexually explicit communication with a child.
These disturbing acts took place over a span of nearly two years in the coastal town of Skegness, situated in Lincolnshire.
The offences occurred between January 1, 2021, and October 28, 2022, marking a prolonged period during which Clarke exploited his victim.
In addition to these sexual offences, Clarke was found to have made and possessed pornographic images involving children.
The seized material included a total of 271 images, with 269 classified as Category A – representing the most severe form of illegal child exploitation imagery – and two images falling into an extreme category, indicating an even more disturbing level of material.
The investigation was led by Lincolnshire Police, with Detective Constable Michelle Adamson commenting on the case.
She stated, 'Clarke had built a relationship with the victim, knowing that when this relationship began, she was only 14 years old.' She continued, emphasizing the importance of this conviction: 'Getting this man convicted means he will not be able to offend against any other child or young person in the future.' This case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and protect vulnerable minors from predatory individuals operating under the guise of personal relationships.
