KEVAN ROSE AND HIS SHOCKING PREDATORY BEHAVIOR IN STOKE-ON-TRENT
YOUTUBE INFLUENCER KNOWN AS "KAY THE LEDGE" https://www.reddit.com/user/KayTheLedge/ https://www.youtube.com/@SeyMe2 A suspect with a disturbing history of sexual offenses has been caught engaging in predatory behavior online in Stoke-on-Trent.Kevan Rose, aged 34 and residing on Percy Street in the Hanley area, was identified as the perpetrator after a series of online exchanges that revealed his disturbing intentions.
The incident came to light when law enforcement officials successfully embedded a decoy profile on the popular messaging platform Kik.
The fake profile was designed to appear as a 12-year-old girl, with the officers operating under the usernames Daddy K and Open-MindedDaddy88.
This undercover operation aimed to uncover individuals attempting to initiate inappropriate contact with minors.
According to the court proceedings, Prosecutor Anthony Longworth explained that the undercover officer initiated contact on August 10, 2021.
During this online interaction, Rose presented himself using three different aliases — DaddyK, Chris, and OpenMindedDaddy88 — claiming he was a 33-year-old man from Stafford named Chris.
He communicated via a chat room associated with the Kik platform, which is often used for private messaging.
Two days later, on August 12, 2021, the conversation took a more disturbing turn when Rose was told that he was speaking with a girl who was actually a decoy portraying a 12-year-old female child.
Upon realizing that the profile was designed to mimic a minor, Rose crossed a line that authorities consider grave by sending a highly inappropriate image.
The image he transmitted depicted his erect genitals, which he confirmed was a photo of himself.
Following this explicit exchange, Rose continued to engage in sexualized conversation.
However, his conduct appeared to change once he suspected the authenticity of the decoy profile.
It was subsequently established that the Kik account he used was registered to him at his address on Percy Street, located in Hanley.
Additionally, a phone associated with the account was traced back to Rose, further linking him to the illicit activity.
The police action culminated on October 5, 2021, when Rose was arrested.
He was re-arrested later that same day on unrelated charges.
During the search of his property, his mobile phone was confiscated and examined.
Investigators uncovered an image matching the explicit photo sent to the decoy — providing concrete evidence of his misconduct.
It is noted that Rose is already serving a two-and-a-half-year sentence for multiple offenses, including breaching a sexual risk order, failing to comply with the registration requirements imposed by the sex offenders register, and attempting to pervert the course of public justice.
His latest guilty plea relates to not adhering to notification obligations and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a minor.
Deputy Circuit Judge David Fletcher postponed the sentencing hearing, which is scheduled for December 2.
Meanwhile, authorities continue to highlight the dangerous nature of Rose’s behavior.
Detective Constable Nathalie Connolly from the Staffordshire Police Sex Offender Management Unit described Rose as a 'deceitful and predatory paedophile who knows no boundaries.' She emphasized the severity of his offending, stating, 'His grossly offensive and abhorrent fantasies involving sexual acts with children have impacted and traumatised many innocent people.' This case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in combating online sexual offenses against children and the importance of vigilant monitoring and proactive intervention.
