In September 2008, a man from Dunbar, East Lothian, Kenneth Wilson, was sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty of subjecting two boys in foster care to a series of heinous abuses. The crimes involved a prolonged period of sexual misconduct, with Wilson beginning his predatory behavior when the boys were just five and six years old.
