June 2017 Man tells of horror sex abuse by stepbrother Ken Chilvers pictured above The stepbrother of a Goodwick man who sexually abused him when he was 12 has told how the ordeal ruined his life A Crown Court judge heard the victim’s (Shaun) life took a different route as a direct result of the abuse he had suffered at the hands of his step brother Kenneth John Chilvers in Grimsby in 1979 The victim who now works as a lorry driver in South Yorkshire said: “I became withdrawn and I didn’t trust anybody, especially males” Chilvers of Heol-y-felin, Goodwick was jailed for four years and ordered to register as a sex offender for life when he appeared at Hull Crown Court Last month, a jury at Grimsby Crown Court had convicted him of three counts of indecent assault on a male. Chilvers denied all three charges which forced the victim to give evidence against him in court
