Larne Sexual Abuser
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Larne, Keith Robinson, a 51-year-old man with a history of inappropriate conduct, was sentenced to six months in prison at Antrim Crown Court for serious sexual offenses involving a minor. The allegations against Robinson came to light after a series of troubling discoveries made by the teenage girl’s mother in 2009.

According to reports, the mother found a vibrator hidden in her daughter’s wardrobe, which prompted her to confront her about the contents. During this confrontation, the girl disclosed that Robinson had given her the sex toy and had been engaging in inappropriate exchanges with her. She revealed that they had been swapping explicit images via mobile phones and exchanging sexually explicit text messages, which raised significant concerns about the nature of their interactions.

The court heard that Robinson, who is a father of two adult children and resides on Wyncairn Road, had coerced the 15-year-old girl into sending him a photograph of her genitals. The incident was alleged to have taken place between December 24, 2008, and February 2, 2009. The actions of Robinson were deemed to constitute inciting a child to commit gross indecency, a serious offense that led to his imprisonment.

In addition to his jail sentence, Robinson was issued with an interim Risk of Sexual Harm Order (RSHO), a legal measure designed to prevent further harm and protect the public from potential future offenses. The case has highlighted the dangers of grooming and exploitation, especially involving minors, and has prompted calls for increased vigilance and protective measures within the community of Larne.
