KEITH HISCUTT FROM DUDLEY CAUGHT WITH OVER 7,000 CHILD PORN IMAGES IN SHOCKING CASE

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Dudley, Keith Hiscutt, a 45-year-old resident of the town, was found in possession of an alarming collection of indecent photographs of children. The investigation, which unfolded in June 2012, revealed that Hiscutt had amassed a staggering total of over 7,000 images depicting minors aged between five and 12 years old.

During proceedings at Wolverhampton Crown Court, prosecutor Nicholas Smith detailed the severity of the case. He explained that the majority of the images stored on Hiscutt's devices were classified as level one, indicating explicit content, but there were also a small number categorized at levels four and five, which are considered the most severe and disturbing categories of child exploitation material.

The police investigation uncovered that a particular website had been flooded with more than 2,000 child pornography images. Further inquiries revealed that Keith Hiscutt had accessed 135 of these illicit photographs, raising serious concerns about his involvement and intent.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Hiscutt’s residence on Charlton Street in Dudley. During the search, officers seized his computer equipment and other electronic devices. A thorough examination of these items uncovered a shocking total of 7,100 indecent images of children, a finding that underscored the gravity of his actions.

When questioned by the police, Hiscutt was notably candid. He openly admitted to having a sexual interest in children, a confession that added to the case’s disturbing nature. His honesty during questioning did not mitigate the seriousness of his offenses, but it was noted during sentencing.

Hiscutt faced six charges of making indecent photographs of children. In response, he was sentenced to a three-year community order, which included three years of supervision. Additionally, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for a period of five years and was placed under a ten-year sexual offenders protection order, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions.

Judge Amjad Nawaz addressed the court, emphasizing the broader implications of such offenses. He stated that individuals who download or possess images of children contribute to their ongoing exploitation. However, the judge also highlighted the importance of treatment and rehabilitation, ruling that Hiscutt’s case warranted intervention rather than immediate imprisonment, in the interest of public safety.

Defending Hiscutt, Miss Samantha Powis pointed out that he was a man of previously good character who acknowledged his sexual interest in the images. She emphasized that Hiscutt was willing to cooperate with the Probation Service and believed that with proper support, he could be diverted from further harmful behavior. The case remains a stark reminder of the dangers posed by individuals involved in the possession and distribution of child exploitation material, and the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat such crimes in Dudley and beyond.
