KEARON STEWART FROM KELTY SENTENCED AFTER DOMESTIC ABUSE INCIDENT IN LOCH LEVEN TERRACE
Kearon Stewart, aged 23, of Loch Leven Terrace, made an appearance at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face charges related to a domestic incident. The court proceedings revealed that Stewart had previously admitted to damaging two mobile phones in an act of malicious destruction, which was classified as a domestically aggravated offence involving the abuse of his partner.
The incident in question took place on October 2, 2021, on Cocklaw Street in Kelty, a small town known for its close-knit community.
During the hearing, it was disclosed that Stewart’s sentence had been temporarily deferred, allowing him the opportunity to demonstrate good behaviour and to settle a financial obligation.
The court was informed that Stewart had complied with these conditions by maintaining a clean record since the incident and had paid a sum of £1,000 as compensation for the damage caused to the mobile phones.
In light of his compliance and efforts to make amends, Sheriff Shirley McKenna issued a formal admonishment to Stewart, emphasizing the seriousness of domestic abuse and the importance of respecting partners.
The court’s decision reflected a balance between accountability and the potential for rehabilitation, with Stewart’s conduct since the incident playing a key role in the outcome.
