JEALOUS EX-BOYFRIEND STABBED HER NEW LOVER IN HER BED, COURT HEARS
A man described as "jealous and controlling" stormed into his ex-girlfriend's flat and repeatedly stabbed her new lover, Harrison Tomkins, in her bed, a court was told. Kaydon Prior, aged 23, is accused of carrying out the attack after entering the flat on 13 August 2023 in Crawley, Sussex. The incident occurred at approximately 05:30 BST, when Prior, armed with a hunting knife, burst into Alicia Parrin’s flat, knowing she and her new partner would be there. According to court proceedings, Ms Parrin stated that Prior previously threatened her, saying he would kill her if she was ever with someone else. During the assault, Mr Tomkins was stabbed multiple times in the chest, legs, and back. The court heard that he had 'no chance' of survival. Prior dropped the weapon and told his friend Jason Curtis to burn his clothes as they fled the scene. The police later found Prior with a blood-stained bag containing clothes. Curtis, aged 22, from Lambeth, is also charged with murder for allegedly assisting and encouraging Prior during the attack, including watching the stabbing unfold. Prior denies murder charges. The prosecution described the attack as completely unprovoked and emphasized Prior's intent to kill. The case continues to be heard in court, with both men facing serious charges.
