SUSSEX HUSBAND PLEADS GUILTY TO MANSLAUGHTER OF WIFE

A man has admitted the manslaughter of his wife who bled to death from stab wounds in her car at a house in West Sussex.

Shehla Baig, a 27-year-old computer science graduate, was found outside her home in Crawley on 16 November.

A post-mortem examination found she died of multiple stab wounds.

Kashif Mirza Baig, 30, of Woodfield Road, Crawley, pleaded guilty to manslaughter, but denied her murder, at Lewes Crown Court on Friday.

The court was told Mr Baig suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.

Her admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

He was remanded in custody and a provisional trial date was set for 17 October.
