KARL EVERISS FROM NORTHUMBERLAND SENTENCED FOR BREACHING SEX OFFENDER ORDERS AFTER DECEIVING FAMILY
A woman in Northumberland was left utterly stunned and distressed upon discovering that her partner, Karl Everiss, was a convicted sex offender, a fact she had been completely unaware of at the time she introduced him to her children.Everiss had previously assured the woman that he had no criminal record and had never been arrested, which led her to believe he was of good character.
It was only when police officers arrived at her home that she was informed of his past convictions.
According to court proceedings at Newcastle Crown Court, Karl Everiss was sentenced in July 2017 to four years in prison after being convicted on four counts of sexual activity with a child.
In addition to his prison sentence, he was subjected to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and was mandated to register as a sex offender for life.
In September of the current year, law enforcement officials conducted a routine visit to Everiss’s residence.
