BANBURY 'SOCIAL MEDIA PARTY' SEX ABUSE GANG JAILED
A group consisting of five adult men and a teenage boy who sexually abused underage girls in Oxfordshire after grooming them has been sentenced to prison. The group targeted seven girls aged between 13 and 15, assaulting them in various locations such as cars, wooded areas, or at the perpetrators’ homes in Banbury.
During the proceedings at Oxford Crown Court, it was revealed that they manipulated victims into attending parties organized via social media, and the defendants were found guilty in March.
Kagiso Manase, aged 21 and residing on Warwick Road, received a five-year prison term.
One of the girls, 14 years old, described being attacked in a car after attending a Facebook-organized gathering, saying: "I was in the back of the car but I was in the middle...
I was just scared.
I didn't know what to do, but they'd planned it beforehand." She also mentioned that the abuse persisted even after the party had ended.
The court’s verdict included that Kagiso Manase was convicted on three counts of sexual activity with a minor, two counts of encouraging a child to take part in sexual acts, and one count of sexual assault.
