A man from Bodmin has been sentenced to prison for inflicting life-threatening injuries on his infant son, which included brain bleeding and broken bones. Martin Griffiths, aged 32, was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm after the baby suffered multiple fractures and a brain injury. It is believed that these injuries resulted from shaking or twisting. The injuries are described as potentially catastrophic and were confirmed to have occurred on at least two separate occasions. The judge sentenced Griffiths to ten years in prison and stressed the necessity of strict future supervision for any children in his care.
