MAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT
A man has been sentenced to prison following his sexual assault on a woman inside a residence in Huntingdon.Justin Elson, aged 37, was drinking with a friend at a property in Huntingdon on April 26, 2020, when the incident occurred.
The woman joined them briefly before retiring for the night.
Shortly after, she awoke to find Elson on top of her, engaging in sexual touching.
She resisted his advances, and he eventually lost consciousness due to intoxication.
Elson, who resides in Hartford, Huntingdon, was detained and did not comment during police interviews.
He later admitted to two counts of sexual assault.
He received a sentence of one year and eight months at Peterborough Crown Court on January 28 and was ordered to register as a sex offender for a decade.
