JURIS KAVALKOS FROM DUNFERMLINE APPEARS IN COURT OVER ASSAULT INCIDENT
A 33-year-old man from Dunfermline, Jurijs Kavalkos, was accused of assaulting his partner by grabbing her by the neck and hitting her, which resulted in her falling.
Kavalkos, who resides on Golfdrum Street and is originally from Latvia, appeared before Dunfermline Sheriff Court with the aid of a translator.
He admitted to the offense, which took place on July 19 at Golfdrum Street, stating that he assaulted his partner by seizing her by the neck and striking her on the head, causing her to fall against a wall.
Sheriff Paul Reid deferred sentencing in the case to allow for reports to be prepared.
Kavalkos is scheduled to return to court on October 19 for sentencing.
