JUHL HOLDAWAY SOLDIER SENTENCED IN GLASGOW FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON CHILD HE BABYSAT
In August 2008, Juhl Holdaway, a soldier, was sentenced to prison for sexually attacking a five-year-old boy six years earlier.
Holdaway confessed to committing an indecent act on the child in 2002 in Forfar, Angus, after authorities located him at his military barracks in Suffolk.
The Glasgow High Court heard that the young victim told his mother about the assault while watching a television program about child abuse.
The incident occurred when Holdaway, then a 16 or 17-year-old army helicopter technician, was babysitting the boy.
During the abuse, Holdaway warned the child that he would be hurt badly if he ever disclosed what had happened.
Holdaway was sentenced to 32 months in prison and was placed on the sex offenders’ register.
