STANLEY MAN JOSH ORR BEHIND BARS FOR BREACHING COURT ORDER AFTER ASSAULT
A man who had previously been given a suspended prison sentence for a lengthy assault on his partner and her father at their family home is now incarcerated for violating the court order.Josh Peter Orr was sentenced to 12 months in prison, with the term suspended for two years, after being convicted of affray and assaulting a first responder in court last August.
The incident was triggered by his aggressive behavior towards his partner and her father following a night out on April 15.
During the violence, Orr caused property damage, assaulted the couple, and attempted to headbutt an officer trying to arrest him.
He was required to complete unpaid work, participate in rehabilitation programs, and adhere to a restraining order for five years.
However, after failing to attend unpaid work and relationship counseling sessions—thus breaching his suspended sentence—his prison term was activated, resulting in a reduction of one month from the original sentence.
