JOSEPH MAHADY FROM GLENROTHES APPEARS AT DUNFERMLINE SHERIFF COURT OVER HARASSMENT CASES
A 33-year-old man from Glenrothes, Joseph Mahady, has appeared once again at Dunfermline Sheriff Court to face charges of repeated harassment against his former partner.Mahady pleaded guilty to engaging in a pattern of abusive behaviour on April 20 and 21 on Barrie Street, Dunfermline.
During these days, he sent his ex-partner 54 text messages containing threats, obscenities, and references to self-harm, which caused her considerable distress and prompted her to contact the police.
The following day, he continued his harassment through the sending of abusive emails.
The court was informed that Mahady, who resides on Fordell Road in Glenrothes, is already under a community payback order due to similar offences committed against the same woman in the past.
Additionally, in an earlier incident on March 31, he was detained and admitted to behaving in a threatening and aggressive manner, including shouting, swearing, and issuing violent threats.
Mahady's sentencing for these most recent offences has been scheduled for a later date.
