TEACHER BANNED FROM PROFESSION INDEFINITELY
The TRA panel examined the allegations detailed in the notice of meeting issued on 29 September 2025.It was claimed that Mr.
Luttman engaged in behavior that could be characterized as unacceptable professional conduct or as conduct likely to bring disrepute to the profession.
The circumstances involved his role as a class teacher at Marland School (“the School”).
Specifically, it was alleged that: 1.
On or around 7 September 2023, he behaved in a threatening, intimidating, or inappropriate way by: a.
Pushing Pupil A, causing the child to fall onto the ground; b.
Pushing Pupil A once more; c.
Picking up or physically ejecting Pupil A out through an open doorway onto the playground, leading to him landing on his back; d.
Engaging with Pupil A by tickling or poking him.

On or about 7 September 2023, he did not properly or sufficiently document the incident involving Pupil A within the School’s reporting system, Behaviourwatch.

That day, he also failed to follow safeguarding policies by not reporting the incident immediately or in a timely fashion to the designated safeguarding lead or the headteacher.

His account in paragraph 2 was considered to be misleading or dishonest.
Mr.
Luttman accepted the facts as outlined and acknowledged his conduct as unacceptable professional behavior and/or conduct that risked damaging the profession’s reputation.
He was banned from the profession indefinitely.
