Nottingham Man Sentenced for Repeated Assaults on Partner

A man named Jordan Wood, residing at Spruce Gardens, Bulwell, Nottingham, has been convicted for a pattern of repeated assaults on his former partner. Police reported that Wood's offenses date back to November 2022. The victim eventually reported his behavior, leading to his arrest. Nottinghamshire Police confirmed that after his initial arrest, a court order was issued to protect the victim, which Wood subsequently violated. This breach resulted in him being jailed for a month before he pleaded guilty to three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of assault by beating. During the court proceedings, Wood was sentenced to two years and four months imprisonment and was also handed a restraining order. Nottinghamshire Police highlighted the victim's courage in coming forward, noting her fearfulness and bravery. Officer Sgt Parminder Ahluwalia emphasized the importance of her bravery in sharing her experience, which contributed to Wood’s conviction.
