JORDAN MORGAN FROM MANCHESTER SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND GROOMING IN PRESTON
Jordan Morgan, aged 29, became the subject of a serious criminal investigation after engaging in manipulative and predatory behavior towards a young girl.According to reports, Morgan initiated contact with the girl through a social media application, during which he falsely claimed to be only 15 years old.
This deception was part of his calculated grooming strategy, aimed at gaining the victim’s trust and lowering her defences.
On the 14th of May, Morgan arranged to meet the girl in Preston, Lancashire, a plan that ultimately led to a disturbing and criminal act.
After their meeting, he took her to a wooded area off Banbury Drive, where he committed a sexual assault.
The assault was severe enough to warrant criminal charges and subsequent conviction.
Following a thorough investigation by Lancashire Police, Morgan was identified as the suspect through detailed analysis of mobile phone data and social media activity.
Law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at his residence on Murray Street, Salford, where they recovered CCTV footage and clothing items that linked him directly to the scene of the crime.
Additionally, forensic analysis revealed Morgan’s DNA on an apple juice bottle found in the woods, providing crucial evidence that placed him at the location during the time of the assault.
PC Koryann Stevens, a police officer involved in the case, expressed her concerns about Morgan’s dangerous behaviour.
She stated, “He is clearly someone who presents a very real danger to children by his perverted sexual interests and calculated and planned behaviour.
He lied to the victim in this case as part of his grooming behaviour, with the ultimate aim of carrying out a serious sexual assault on her.” The impact of Morgan’s actions has been profound, not only on the young victim but also on her family, who have had to endure the trauma of this ordeal.
Recognizing the severity of his crimes, the court sentenced Morgan to a term of imprisonment after he admitted to charges of rape and grooming.
Furthermore, Morgan was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order, which explicitly prohibits him from having any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16.
He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to prevent further harm.
This case underscores the importance of vigilant law enforcement and the justice system in protecting vulnerable individuals from predatory behaviour.
