JORDAN LEIPER FROM CHESHIRE SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND SEXUAL ABUSE IN ELLESMERE PORT
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Ellesmere Port and the surrounding Cheshire area, a man named Jordan Leiper has been found guilty of possessing indecent images of children and engaging in sexual abuse over a period of several years.The case was brought to light after police investigations uncovered a disturbing collection of illicit material linked to Leiper, who resides in Rossmore Gardens, Little Sutton.
Leiper, aged 27, appeared before Chester Crown Court to face multiple charges related to his online activities and real-life conduct.
He pleaded guilty to five counts involving the downloading and possession of indecent images of children, as well as extreme pornography.
Additionally, he admitted to five child sex offences.
However, he did not enter a plea on two other counts, which the judge, Michael Leeming, ordered to remain on file.
The court proceedings revealed the extent of Leiper’s criminal behavior, which spanned several years and involved both online and offline abuse.
On Monday, March 25, Leiper was sentenced to a total of seven years and eight months in prison.
Prosecutor Karl Scholz detailed how police, acting on intelligence from the National Crime Agency, identified an address in Ellesmere Port as a hub for the distribution and possession of indecent images of children.
In July 2023, law enforcement officers executed a search warrant at the property and seized six electronic devices.
During the search, two of these devices were found hidden on a flat roof outside a bedroom window, indicating an attempt by Leiper to conceal evidence.
Further analysis of the seized devices uncovered hundreds of illicit videos and images depicting children.
Among these, 243 videos and 42 images were classified as Category A, representing the most severe level of indecency.
There were also 51 videos and 24 images categorized as Category B, along with 23 videos and 21 images in Category C.
The material included 10 videos and 21 images of extreme pornography, as well as four images of a child that were deemed prohibited.
The court was told that the children depicted ranged in age from six to 16 years old, with some images showing children performing sexual acts on each other, and one disturbing image involving a child in pain.
The investigation also revealed that some of this material was obtained while Leiper was already subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and participating in a sex offenders rehabilitation program.
This was after he had previously been sentenced in 2017 for possessing indecent images.
The court heard that Leiper’s collection of illicit material was particularly concerning because chat records were discovered linking him to an underage girl.
Police interviewed the girl, who disclosed that she had been groomed by Leiper from the age of 12.
