JORDAN KILBRIDE SENTENCED IN HAYDOCK FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON TEENAGER

On Friday, February 14th, a man from Haydock named Jordan Kilbride was formally sentenced to four years and six months in prison after he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage girl. The incident, which took place in the Haydock area during 2022, led to a thorough investigation that ultimately resulted in Kilbride’s conviction.

Jordan Kilbride, aged 32 and residing on William Road in Haydock, admitted to a charge of assault by penetration related to the assault on the young girl. His appearance at Liverpool Crown Court concluded with a significant custodial sentence, reflecting the severity of his actions. In addition to his prison term, Kilbride was ordered to sign the Sex Offender’s Register indefinitely, a measure designed to monitor his activities and prevent further offenses.

Furthermore, the court imposed a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting Kilbride’s behavior and contact with vulnerable individuals. An indefinite restraining order was also issued, prohibiting him from approaching or contacting the victim or any other potential victims in the future.

Detective Inspector Carla Cross expressed her thoughts on the case, emphasizing the gravity of the assault and its lasting impact. She praised the bravery of the teenage girl who came forward to report the crime, acknowledging her composure and dignity throughout the investigation process. DI Cross highlighted that Kilbride initially denied any involvement, but evidence obtained through CCTV footage and forensic analysis proved his guilt, leading to his conviction and imprisonment.

Inspector Cross also took this opportunity to encourage other victims of sexual offenses to come forward, assuring them that their cases would be handled with sensitivity and compassion. She emphasized the importance of reporting such crimes and reassured the public that support services are available for victims.

Members of the public seeking to report sexual offenses or share information are urged to contact Merseyside Police via the non-emergency number 101, where specially trained officers are available to assist. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111. In emergencies, individuals should always dial 999.
