Mickleover Domestic Abuser
Jordan Jackson, a 25-year-old man from Mickleover, has been accused of subjecting his former partner and her young daughter to a series of intimidating and threatening actions, despite the existence of a court-issued restraining order. The victim, who had previously sought legal protection after Jackson's violent behavior, reported that he continued to harass her through various means, including numerous phone calls, messages, and social media interactions.

Jackson's persistent attempts to contact her defied the restraining order, which was put in place following a prior incident where he had pulled a knife and assaulted her at her home. Despite this legal restriction, he sent her threatening voice notes and videos, one of which depicted him crying, and even tried to reach her through fake profiles. One such profile was created using his brother’s dog, through which he sent menacing messages, further demonstrating his refusal to respect the court's directives.

Records show that Jackson made a total of 72 calls from his personal phone and an additional 32 calls from his mother’s phone. He also left over 30 missed calls on Facebook, indicating a sustained effort to maintain contact despite the legal restrictions. During court proceedings, recordings of his threatening and abusive communications were played, revealing that he had explicitly threatened to kill both the victim and her daughter if he was to be imprisoned.

The victim expressed her fear and distress, stating that she felt increasingly scared and depressed, worried not only for her own safety but also for that of her child. Her ordeal highlights the ongoing danger posed by Jackson, who has a significant criminal history. His record includes 16 previous convictions, encompassing serious offenses such as arson, robbery, assault, battery, and possession of a bladed article.

Jackson was ultimately sentenced to 14 months in prison for his actions. Additionally, he was issued a 10-year restraining order that prohibits him from making any contact with the woman or her family, underscoring the severity of his violations and the ongoing threat he poses to their safety.
