Jordan Davies

Pwllheli Sexual Abuser

June 2019 Coldstream Guard’s dream career ‘ruined’ as he’s locked up for child sex offences A member of the Coldstream Guards encouraged a 14-year-old girl to drink cider before he sexually assaulted her as she slept in the back of a car in North Wales. Jordan Davies, 19, also met another girl aged 14 in a hotel in the Loughborough area with the intention of having unprotected sex with her. At Mold Crown Court today, Davies, who is from Pwllheli but whose address was the Victoria Barracks in Windsor, was sentenced to four years youth detention. The defendant, who admitted sexual activity with the first girl and meeting the second girl following sexual grooming, was ordered to register with the police indefinitely as a sex offender. A lifetime sexual harm prevention order was also made. The court heard he had dreamed of a career in the army since the age of 12, and had followed in the footsteps of his father and brother. But his career is now at an end as he will be immediately dismissed, the court heard. Davies joined the army at 16 and initially served with the Royal Logistics Corps. He served in Cyprus and the Falkland Islands, was currently a member of the catering team in the officers’ mess for the Coldstream Guards, and had been trusted to work in various high-profile functions. Judge Huw Rees said the probation service regarded him as a high risk of serious harm to female children. The judge said he took the view that Davies had not deliberately targeted the girls but “took opportunities as they presented themselves to take advantage of the two girls sexually”. The defendant had no previous convictions and it was a “substantial fall from grace” for him, said the judge. “You gave no thought to the welfare of these two girls and their families or to the damage that you were causing,” he said. Prosecuting barrister Elen Owen said the first girl had been in a car with the defendant and other young people. It was alleged that Davies engineered a situation where he was sitting with her in the back seat and encouraged her to drink cider “down in one go”. The court heard she could not recall what happened and woke up in the car in the early hours. But she was shocked to be told that he had indecently assaulted her and had allegedly made a crude remark afterwards – a claim he denied. Two weeks later, the mother of the other girl was told her daughter had been seen holding hands with an older man and that they both had bags with them. Enquiries led her to a hotel where she found her daughter in the reception area and staff had seen her leaving a hotel room. Davies was challenged by the mother, who called the police. He was arrested at the barracks in Windsor and accepted what he had done to the girl in the car. Davies also confirmed that he had paid £130 for a hotel room and intended to have sex with the other girl. She had asked him to use a condom but he said he intended to have unprotected sex, the court heard. He was said to have deleted earlier messages he had sent to the girl and had asked her to do the same. May 2019 Soldier guilty of sexual activity with girl A soldier has admitted engaging in sexual activity with a teenage girl. Jordan Anthony Davies was said to have met the 14-year-old child last year. The 19-year-old, of the First Battalion Coldstream Guards, who are based at Windsor, also admitted a charge of meeting a second teenage girl three weeks after grooming her in 2018. Davies, originally from Pwllheli , was bailed by the judge at Caernarfon Crown Court pending sentence next month for the preparation of reports. Adjourning the hearing, Judge Huw Rees said: “These are serious offences and may involve the loss of your liberty. “The pre-sentence report will allow the court to know as much as possible about you and your offending. “Don’t read anything into this however and you must prepare for the worst.”
