MAN SENTENCED AFTER REPEATEDLY PUNCHING DOG
Jordan Brown, aged 31 and residing on Kings Road in High Wycombe, appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court and Family Court to face charges after admitting to causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, in violation of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.The incident took place on June 29, 2025, at his residence, where he was found to have repeatedly punched a dog named Storm.
The court sentenced Brown to a 12-month community order.
This included a requirement for him to undergo 12 months of mental health treatment as a non-residential patient, along with 21 days of rehabilitative activities.
Additionally, he was mandated to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
The court also imposed a 12-month ban on owning, keeping, or being involved in the care or control of any dogs, which includes authority to seize any dogs currently in his possession.
The ban was temporarily suspended for 28 days to give time for alternative arrangements for his dogs.
Brown was ordered to pay £600 in compensation and a further £85 in prosecution costs.
His guilty plea was officially entered on February 19, 2026.
