It started with food and a television remote control and then progressed to the defendant putting her hand on his genitals. He put a blindfold on himself and pulled down her pyjama bottoms and touched her.”
The court heard that the victim, who was under 13 at the time, later confided in her teacher about the abuse during a sex education lesson in June 2019. This disclosure prompted an investigation, and police were called to the scene. During police interviews, Allport admitted to the sexual assaults, acknowledging his involvement in the disturbing acts.
