Middlesbrough Child Sexual Abuser
In a case that has shocked the Middlesbrough community, Jordan Allport, a young man from Middlesbrough, was involved in a disturbing incident of sexual assault involving a young girl. The events took place several years ago, but the repercussions and court proceedings have only recently come to light.

According to court reports, Allport engaged in a heinous act under the guise of a seemingly innocent game. He convinced the young girl to wear a blindfold and participate in a game where they would identify objects by touch. Initially, the game involved harmless items such as fruit and a remote control, but it quickly took a sinister turn. The situation escalated as Allport began to involve more intimate parts of the body, turning what was supposed to be a playful activity into a disturbing sexual assault.

Prosecutor Richard Bennett detailed the sequence of events during the trial at Teesside Crown Court. He explained that the game progressed from touching objects like food and remote controls to Allport placing her hand on his genitals. Bennett stated, “They took turns touching things and then it became ‘what’s in my mouth’. It started with food and a television remote control and then progressed to the defendant putting her hand on his genitals. He put a blindfold on himself and pulled down her pyjama bottoms and touched her.”

The court heard that the victim, who was under 13 at the time, later confided in her teacher about the abuse during a sex education lesson in June 2019. This disclosure prompted an investigation, and police were called to the scene. During police interviews, Allport admitted to the sexual assaults, acknowledging his involvement in the disturbing acts.

Jordan Allport, aged 19 and residing on Parkway Grove in Middlesbrough, faced multiple charges, including sexual assault on a child under 13, encouraging a child under 13 to engage in a sexual act, and engaging in sexual activity with a child. Despite the gravity of these charges, the court's decision was notably lenient. Judge Stephen Ashurst sentenced Allport to 18 months in a young offender’s institution, but this sentence was suspended for two years, meaning he would not serve time unless he committed another offense within that period.

In his remarks, Judge Ashurst emphasized the innocence of the victim and the gravity of Allport’s actions. He stated, “You embarked on a game with her which you turned into an indecent game – she was an innocent.” The case has left many in Middlesbrough questioning the justice served, but the court’s decision reflects the complexities involved in juvenile cases and the importance of rehabilitation.
