JONATHON WARREN FROM KEIGHLEY SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULTS AND INDECENT IMAGES
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Keighley, a man named Jonathon Warren, aged 32, has been sentenced to a life imprisonment after a series of serious criminal activities involving the exploitation of young girls and the distribution of indecent images.The case came to light following a detailed police investigation into his online activities, which uncovered a disturbing collection of illicit material.
Warren's arrest took place in October of the previous year at his residence on Edensor Road in Keighley.
Authorities acted swiftly after receiving credible intelligence suggesting his involvement in the possession and dissemination of indecent images of children.
During the raid, police seized multiple electronic devices from his home, which were later examined in detail.
The forensic analysis revealed a staggering total of 2,086 indecent images of children stored on his devices.
Among these were particularly heinous videos and photographs depicting Warren himself engaging in sexual acts with two young girls, aged 9 and 12 at the time.
These findings confirmed the severity of his crimes and the danger he posed to minors.
Further investigations by the Policing Online Investigations Team uncovered additional evidence on Warren’s phone, indicating that he had shared these images with other individuals, thus contributing to the wider circulation of child exploitation material.
His actions not only involved the creation of abusive content but also its distribution, amplifying the harm inflicted on the victims.
Warren was found to be in breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which was meant to restrict his contact with minors and prevent such offenses.
He faced a total of 14 charges, including seven counts related to the creation and possession of indecent images, three counts of inciting a girl under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity, and additional charges for breaching court orders and assaulting an emergency worker.
His court appearance took place at Bradford Crown Court on Friday, 19 May.
During the hearing, Warren pleaded guilty to all 14 charges, acknowledging the gravity of his crimes.
The judge sentenced him to life imprisonment, with a review scheduled after 6 years and 8 months, allowing for the possibility of parole in the future.
