Jonathon Charles Evans, a 32-year-old man from Malltraeth, Bodorgan, was sentenced to jail after being convicted of abusing two boys while working at a school and volunteering as an Air Cadet leader.
Evans appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court on July 23rd, where he was found guilty of two counts of abusing a position of trust to commit sexual acts with an adult, four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and three counts of sexual assault.
His offenses occurred between 2017 and 2020, during which he was employed as a technician at a school in Anglesey and participated as a volunteer in the Air Cadets.
Investigations revealed that he added the boys on Snapchat, with one receiving sexually explicit images of Evans himself and being asked to send similar images.
There were also multiple attempts by Evans to touch the boys’ genitals.
Evans received a four-year prison sentence and was ordered to follow an ongoing sexual harm prevention order.
He is required to register with the police, and restraining orders have been issued to protect the victims indefinitely.
