NEWPORT MAN DENIES SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH UNDERAGE GIRL
A man is scheduled to stand trial in the summer of 2027 after pleading not guilty to charges of engaging in sexual conduct with a girl aged between 13 and 15.Jonathan Lewis, aged 55 and residing in Newport, denied the accusations during a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court.
The defendant, who lives on Caernarvon Drive in Rhiwderin, is set to face trial on August 2, 2027, with proceedings expected to take three days.
He was released on conditional bail following his appearance before Judge Christopher Felstead.
Lewis was represented by Julia Cox, while Sol Hartley appeared for the prosecution.
