October 2017 Dangerous paedophile sentenced to 18 years  A Leicestershire paedophile that was found guilty of a number of sexual offences against a young child has been sentenced to 18 years John William Waterfield, 42, of Hinckley but originally from Dudley appeared at Northampton Crown Court in September where he was sentenced for multiple rape and sexual assault offences against a child beginning when she was under 13 Waterfield had denied the charges against him, which forced the victim to give evidence against him. His trial was held in August at Leicester Crown Court where the jury found him guilty of a number of serious sexual offences involving a young child. Their verdict was unanimous and guilty on all charges The court was told that the pervert who is managing director of joinery installation company ‘Waterfield Projects Ltd’ in Hinckley had repeatedly sexually abused the girl and one of the rape offences took place when she was under 13 years old. Judge Lucking sentenced Waterfield to a total of 18 years imprisonment, and he will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order on his release. Waterfield will also be required to register as a sex offender for life
