JOHN RUTH FROM GLASGOW CAUGHT ON VIDEO RAPE OF 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN SHETTLESTON
In a disturbing case heard at the High Court in Glasgow, John Ruth, a self-employed salesman from the city, was brought to justice for heinous crimes involving a young girl. The incident took place in a house located in the Shettleston area on the 18th of November, 2007.
Ruth admitted to the court that he had committed the act of raping the 10-year-old girl and also coerced her into performing sexual acts.
The case came to light after a relative of the victim discovered a video camera that contained footage of the assault.
Upon viewing the tape, the relative was horrified and immediately handed the recording over to the police, which led to Ruth's arrest and subsequent charges.
During the court proceedings, Lord Brodie was asked by the prosecution to review the incriminating footage.
The evidence was deemed compelling, and Ruth's guilt was effectively established.
