SEAHAM MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR ARSON AND ASSAULTS IN CONSETT
A man from Seaham, named John Middleton, has been sentenced to a decade in prison following his conviction for crimes involving arson and assault.
On April 6, Middleton unlawfully entered his ex-partner's unoccupied house in Consett and set it on fire, causing significant damage.
He admitted to intentionally starting the blaze with the purpose of endangering lives and also pleaded guilty to multiple assault-related charges, including assault by beating, causing actual bodily harm, and damaging a mobile phone in incidents that happened in March and April of that year.
