December 2001 John Hall was sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court to nine months’ youth detention, and put on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years November 2001 Man admits sex assault on girl of 10 A YOUNG man has admitted a charge of indecently assaulting a 10-year-old schoolgirl. A charge of attempted rape on the girl was dropped when he appeared at Mold Crown Court yesterday. John Frederick Hall, 18, of Wesley House, Main Road, Ffynnongroyw, Flintshire, was due to go on trial yesterday for the July incident. But the prosecution accepted a guilty plea to the lesser charge from Hall, who was said to have a mental age less than his physical age. Hall was bailed on condition he lives at an address in Rhyl, does not approach the girl and does not enter the area where she lives. Judge John Rogers QC, who said it was a serious matter for which custody would have to be considered, adjourned the case for psychological and pre-sentence reports. Hall will be sentenced at Caernarfon Crown Court on November 30.
