A man from Bracknell has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after being convicted of several historic sexual offences against a young girl. John Anthony Searle, aged 48 and residing on Bay Road, was found guilty by a jury of one count of raping a girl under 13 and two counts of sexual assault against a girl under 13. Following his sentencing, Searle will be required to sign the sex offenders register for life and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. The offences occurred some time ago, with Searle assaulting his victim over a two-year period.
