Aylesbury Newton Aycliffe Rapist
In a case that has shocked the local communities of Aylesbury and Newton Aycliffe, Joby David Wells, aged 36, has been convicted and sentenced for heinous sexual offences committed against a young girl. Wells, who was formerly residing in Aylesbury but had recently moved to Newton Aycliffe, appeared before Durham Crown Court to face the serious charges brought against him.

Wells was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a female child under the age of five, as well as attempting to rape the same young girl. The court proceedings revealed disturbing details about the case, including that Wells had targeted a four-year-old girl and had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions over a period of several weeks. It was also disclosed that he was about to carry out a rape when he was interrupted, preventing further harm to the victim.

The court heard that Wells had recently been released from prison, where he served time for attacking a man. His move to Newton Aycliffe was reportedly an attempt to evade being recalled to prison for failing to report to probation authorities. During his stay in Newton Aycliffe, Wells was staying with a female friend when the abuse took place.

Testimony during the trial painted a disturbing picture of Wells' history. It was revealed that he had previously served an 18-month sentence in 2013 after going on a violent rampage in his car, during which he assaulted three police officers. Additionally, a video surfaced on YouTube showing Wells in a confrontational stance, offering a fight to a man and making a crude remark about making the man 'fuck his granny.'

The judge overseeing the case sentenced Wells to a substantial term of 10 years in prison. Furthermore, a sexual harm prevention order was imposed for a duration of 15 years, and Wells was ordered to register as a sex offender indefinitely. The verdict underscores the severity of his crimes and the ongoing threat he poses to the community.
