JEFFREY OGLES SENTENCED TO 14 YEARS IN PRISON FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN SOUTHEND

In September 2011, Jeffrey Ogles, aged 43, from Southend, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being convicted of multiple child sex offences. Ogles sexually abused a girl over a period of three years, from 2006 to 2009. He was found guilty on all six charges, which included rape and sexual assault. The case followed an 18-month investigation carried out by Essex Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Team, based in Rayleigh.
