HAWICK WOMAN ACCUSED UNDER ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELFARE SCOTLAND ACT 2006

A HAWICK woman has been accused of two offences under the Animal Health and Wel­fare Scot­land Act 2006.

Jean Black, 57 and of Chev­iot Road, is charged with caus­ing a pro­tec­ted animal unne­ces­sary suf­fer­ing by an act or omis­sion and also fail­ing to meet the needs of an animal by an act or omis­sion.

Her case was con­tin­ued without plea at Selkirk Sher­iff Court until August 4.

A non-appear­ance war­rant remains out­stand­ing for her co-accused Ian Darling, 62, from Jed­burgh.
