JAILED FOR VIOLENCE AND THREATS IN NEWTON ABBOT
Ross, aged 36, of Denbury, Newton Abbot, has a history of violence against woman.
He pleaded guilty to ABH, breaching a restraining order, threatening messages and criminal damage.
He broke down the door and confronted his ex.
He grabbed her by the hair, tearing a clump from its roots, and knocked her to the floor.
He then kicked her in the face.
The woman feared he had broken her nose, which was bleeding heavily.
In a personal statement she said she was terrified by his rage-filled violence.
He was jailed for two years at Exeter Crown Court.
"You behaved in an ape-like fashion," said Judge David Evans.
The incident happened in August 2024—three years after the pair had split up.
Ross got jealous because the woman was in a new relationship and turned up at the man's house in Starcross.
Ten minutes after leaving Ross called and made threats saying he would kill her partner and torch his car.
Police arrived and heard him rant: "Tell them to come and find me.
They'd better find me before I find you two." He was convicted of ABH and making threats to kill against the same victim in 2022.
He was jailed and given a restraining order not to contact her.
