JAY PERRIN AND SUZANNE KELLY FROM STOCKTON SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY AND ABUSE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the Stockton community, two individuals have been convicted for their involvement in the production, possession, and distribution of indecent images of children.The case was brought to light after authorities uncovered a significant collection of illicit material linked to Jay Perren and Suzanne Kelly, revealing a pattern of heinous crimes involving the exploitation of minors.
Jay Perren, aged 32, was found to possess an extensive collection of over 33,500 indecent images and videos depicting children in distress and pain.
These materials included the most severe categories of child exploitation images, with 3,417 classified as Category A, the most serious under law.
Perren’s criminal history in this area is extensive, with previous convictions dating back to 2008 for similar offenses, including the possession of indecent images of children, distribution of such material in 2016, and violations of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) in 2019.
The investigation revealed that Perren was found with a large stash of illicit content during a police raid at his residence on Hartington Road, Stockton.
Authorities recovered numerous images and videos from his mobile phone, along with a list of email accounts and passwords associated with his offending.
Analysis of his devices confirmed the presence of the disturbing material, which included extreme pornographic images and content involving children in distress.
During the court proceedings, Perren appeared via video link from HMP Durham F-wing, where he was serving time for his previous convictions.
He admitted to possessing a catalogue of indecent images, breaching a sexual harm prevention order by using a private web browser, Aloha, to conceal his location and activity.
On the other hand, Suzanne Kelly, aged 40, was also brought to justice for her role in these crimes.
Kelly had taken indecent photographs and videos of children and had sent these images to her then-boyfriend, Perren, to satisfy his demands.
Her offending was uncovered after Perren’s home was raided last year, and the authorities discovered videos of her sexual abuse among his collection.
Kelly pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including engaging in sexual activity with a child, voyeurism, and the production and distribution of indecent images of children.
Her actions demonstrated a disturbing pattern of abuse and exploitation, which she admitted in court.
The police responded swiftly to the case, executing a search at Perren’s residence and retrieving numerous illicit images from his mobile device.
The investigation also uncovered a list of email addresses and passwords linked to his offending activities.
Both defendants faced the court, where their crimes were thoroughly examined, and their sentences were handed down based on the severity of their actions and their criminal histories.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat child exploitation and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable minors from such heinous crimes.
