JASPAL HIR FROM COVENTRY CAUGHT IN SHOCKING ONLINE PREDATION SCANDAL INVOLVING TEEN GIRLS
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community, Jaspal Hir, a man in his 40s from Coventry, was implicated in a series of online predatory behaviors targeting young girls.The incident came to light in October 2017 when authorities uncovered his attempts to manipulate a 14-year-old girl from Leicester into sending explicit images.
Hir, who was divorced at the time, had assumed the identity of a teenage boy, claiming to be 17 years old in order to gain the trust of the young girl.
His goal was to persuade her to send nude photographs, a request he made through social media messages.
The girl, however, did not comply with his demands, and the entire scheme was thwarted when her mother discovered the messages on her phone.
This discovery prompted an immediate investigation by the police.
Authorities traced the messages back to Hir, who was subsequently arrested at his residence on Bedford Road, Longford, Coventry, in November.
During the raid, law enforcement officials seized his phone, computer, and several DVDs.
The digital devices revealed a disturbing pattern of behavior, including conversations with a second 14-year-old girl.
In these exchanges, Hir requested her to send him sexually explicit images and videos, although she did not comply with his demands.
Further examination of the seized DVDs uncovered graphic material, including extreme pornography depicting acts of bestiality, which added to the severity of the case.
The evidence collected painted a troubling picture of Hir’s online activities and his attempts to exploit minors.
At Warwick Crown Court, Hir, aged 42, pleaded guilty to multiple charges.
He admitted to two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and two counts of possessing extreme pornography.
His guilty plea came after a thorough investigation and presentation of evidence by the prosecution.
In sentencing, Recorder Anthony Lowe imposed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, and mandated that Hir participate in a sex offender’s treatment program.
Additionally, the court ordered him to register as a sex offender for five years and to pay costs amounting to £535.
The case has raised serious concerns about online safety and the exploitation of minors, prompting calls for increased vigilance and protective measures in digital spaces.
