MAN JAILED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE OFFENCES
A man who attacked his ex-partner and issued a threatening message has been convicted and sentenced to prison.Jason Thomas, of Talwrn Road, Pentraeth, appeared at Mold Crown Court on July 3 for sentencing.
The 36-year-old admitted to assault, as well as controlling and coercive conduct, and harassment that led to fear of violence.
Throughout their four-year relationship, Thomas attempted to dominate his partner.
He secretly installed a tracking device in her car, falsely accused her of cheating, accessed her phone without permission, and verbally abusive names such as ‘slag’ and ‘whore’.
Their romantic connection ended in June 2025, but Thomas continued his harassment efforts.
Even after she blocked his number, he kept contacting her.
In August 2025, he physically assaulted her repeatedly, punching her face and body, which resulted in evident bruising.
He also sent her a photo of a petrol canister with a threat to burn her, which left her feeling terrified.
The court sentenced him to three years and four months in prison.
He was also issued a 10-year Domestic Abuse Protection Order (DAPO), barring him from contacting the victim.
