JASON PIONTECKI SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS FOR CHILD ABUSE LIVE STREAM IN SWANSEA
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Swansea, a man named Jason Piontecki has been handed a lengthy prison sentence after being found guilty of heinous crimes involving the abuse of a very young child. The offences came to light after authorities uncovered a sickening live video stream in which Piontecki was seen abusing a child, with the explicit intent of sharing this depraved content with other online perverts.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Piontecki, who is 32 years old and resides at Rhoddfa Eos in Cwmrhydyceirw, Swansea, had openly broadcast his abuse, addressing viewers with the words, “Hi guys, I am here [with the victim] for a private show.” He further attempted to engage his online audience by asking if they could see the private parts of his young victim and even moved the child to ensure visibility, demonstrating a disturbing level of callousness and disregard for the child's well-being.
Prosecutor Robin Rouch detailed the extent of Piontecki’s criminal activities, noting that the defendant had previously received a 16-month suspended sentence for making indecent images.
The investigation was initiated after the National Crime Agency (NCA) conducted a thorough inquiry into his online activities last year.
During the investigation, authorities examined his computer and uncovered substantial evidence of him sharing explicit material involving children.
Further analysis of chat logs revealed graphic and disturbing conversations, where Piontecki discussed with others what they would like him to do, indicating a pattern of predatory behavior.
The evidence also showed that on multiple occasions, he performed sexual acts on himself in the presence of a child and even asked the young victim to touch him, further illustrating the severity of his crimes.
Initially, Piontecki denied the charges when arrested, but he later pleaded guilty in court, acknowledging his guilt.
His defense, represented by John Hipkin, stated that there was little mitigation for his actions, although the guilty plea did spare the child victims from having to testify in court.
Investigations suggested that some of the viewers of the live stream were located in North America, including the United States and Canada, highlighting the international reach of his online activities.
At Swansea Crown Court, Piontecki faced multiple charges, including causing children to engage in indecent activity, inciting children to participate in sexual acts, engaging in sexual activity with a child, and sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13.
He pleaded guilty to nine counts in total.
Judge Paul Thomas QC delivered a stern sentence, emphasizing the unimaginable harm caused by Piontecki’s actions.
He stated, “It is almost impossible to comprehend how a man could treat children in this way.
They are precious young lives to be nurtured and protected.
Instead, you used them as sexual playthings not just for yourself but online with like-minded paedophiles.” The judge further condemned the defendant’s online activities, noting that Piontecki shared his depraved acts on social media, indulging his sexual lusts and exposing his victims to a global audience.
“Your perversion was such you lost all restraint,” he said, adding that the long-term damage inflicted on the victims was incalculable.
Judge Thomas concluded that Piontecki posed a significant and ongoing threat to children and society at large.
As a result, he was sentenced to an extended term of 15 years in prison, with nine years to be served behind bars.
Additionally, Piontecki was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and to be subject to an indefinite serious harm prevention order, ensuring ongoing monitoring and restrictions to prevent further harm.
