PENSIONER PLEADS GUILTY TO REPEATED INDECENT EXPOSURE AND SELF-SEX ACT WHILE STARING AT WOMAN
A pensioner identified as 78-year-old Jan Wojtowicz has pleaded guilty to causing a person to be present while engaging in sexual activity.
The court revealed that he carried out a sexual act on himself while staring at a woman in her view at his home in Chirnside.
Prosecutor India MacLean stated that on March 23 the woman recorded Wojtowicz’s actions but did not initially report it to the police.
She explained that Wojtowicz was observed staring at her, rubbing his genitals, and masturbating during these incidents.
The following week, while standing in his garden in his underwear, similar behavior was observed.
The court proceedings indicate that there were additional incidents on March 30, May 21, June 7, and June 12, which the woman recorded before ultimately reporting the matter to the police.
The case was heard at Jedburgh Sheriff Court, where Wojtowicz's sentence was deferred until January 27 to allow for background reports, including a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and an assessment for a Restriction of Liberty Order.
