South Molton Sexual Abuser
The article reports that Jamie Czyz, a 35-year-old man from Nadder Meadow, engaged in online sexual communication with a person he believed to be a 12-year-old girl on Snapchat. He thought he was talking to a real girl after befriending her through a police-organized fake profile created by a crime unit. During the chat, Czyz, who appeared to be aroused, exchanged explicit messages and photos, including images of himself taken in his work van. He asked for more photos, including of the girl’s legs and images from her skirt, and sent pictures of his own groin and penis. Despite realizing what he was doing was wrong, he broke off the conversation. Police were able to trace him to an address in South Molton. The investigation uncovered that Czyz had contacted numerous young women online but had no prior convictions. He pleaded guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child and was sentenced at Exeter Crown Court to a six-month suspended sentence, along with 15 days of rehabilitation and a sexual harm prevention order restricting his internet usage. Prosecutor Nigel Hall stated that the defendant had contact with a person he believed to be 12 years old, initiated chat, and persisted even after learning of the risks. His attorney noted that the communication lasted only a few days.
