BRADFORD JAILED FOR ATTEMPTED RAPE IN WORKSOP
A 26-year-old man named Jamie Bradford has been sentenced to three years in prison for attempting to rape a woman in her home last year.Bradford, aged 26, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted rape and was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, December 8.
The attack occurred on 17 December 2019, and he was subsequently sentenced to go onto the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely and to be subject to a restraining order.
Bradford is currently held in HMP Nottingham.
Detective Sergeant Tom Carver of Nottinghamshire Polices Public Protection Team stated: "I like to commend the victim and her family for their tremendous bravery throughout this process.
I hope today’s outcome provides some comfort for them.
Additionally, I hope it reassures other victims that they can come forward, and that Nottinghamshire Police treats rape and sexual assault cases with utmost seriousness."
