Bromsgrove Sexual Abuser
In August 2017, a serious legal development unfolded involving James White, a known sex offender from Bromsgrove, who now faces the possibility of incarceration following a breach of court-ordered restrictions. The incident occurred on the night of November 26, when White, aged 21, visited a residence in Bromsgrove where a girl under the age of 16 was living. He not only visited but also stayed overnight at the property, an act that directly contravened the terms of a five-year ban imposed on him.

White, residing on Burcot Lane in Bromsgrove, had previously been subject to a court order issued by magistrates on August 23, 2012. This order was designed to restrict his movements and interactions, likely as part of conditions related to his status as a sex offender. Despite these restrictions, White had failed to adhere to the court's directives on multiple occasions prior to this latest breach, as was revealed during proceedings at Worcester Crown Court.

During the hearing, White pleaded guilty to two separate breaches of the court order, which occurred between November 26 and 27 of the previous year. These violations took place while he was under the influence of a suspended sentence, adding to the gravity of his actions. The prosecution, led by John Brotherton, detailed how White had spent the evening at the residence and justified his actions by claiming he missed the last bus home. White reportedly stated that he chose not to walk in the dark and rainy conditions, which led him to stay overnight.

In response to the case, Judge Nicholas Cole ordered a psychiatric assessment to better understand White’s mental state and potential risk factors. The judge also issued a stern warning, indicating that White could face an immediate jail sentence due to his repeated failure to comply with the court's restrictions and his prior criminal history. White was granted bail until the sentencing hearing scheduled for September 29, where further legal actions and potential penalties will be determined.
