JEALOUS BOYFRIEND JAMES SHERRY JAILED FOR STI THREAT AND HOOVER RAGE
A man named James Sherry, aged 21, was sentenced to jail following multiple incidents of threatening and abusive behavior.
He threatened to post on social media that his partner had a sexually transmitted infection, calling her offensive names such as “s****** and a s***”.
In addition to these threats, he previously committed acts of violence, including throwing a vacuum cleaner out of a window at a woman’s home in Perth and later smashing a window with it when he was refused entry.
The court heard that, in 2022 and the following year, he was involved in separate altercations with ex-partners, during which he used abusive language such as “s*** and s*****” and made social media threats about sexually transmitted diseases.
These incidents occurred in Perth and Dingwall, where alcohol consumption and illicit substance use were noted.
His behavior was deemed chaotic, and he admitted to not handling relationship difficulties well.
Sherry was found guilty of threatening or abusive conduct and was sentenced to 12 months in jail for each incident, to run concurrently, with the sentences backdated to March 24.
The court also issued non-harassment orders forbidding him from contacting the victims for 18 months.
